SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports massage is a special form of massage and is typically used before, during, and after athletic events. The purpose of the massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries.

REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Remedial massage is a holistic treatment; that is, a treatment for the whole of the body, as well as the area being treated. The primary aim of Remedial Massage is to find and treat the cause of the disorder, not only the symptoms. Short term effects include: reducing pain, swelling and inflammation and speeding up the body's own healing process, and to increase muscle tone. Long term effects include: balance of the muscles and joints, leading to a better state of health and greater mobility within the joints of the body.

SWEDISH MASSAGE

The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. It stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish Massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Indian Head Massage is a treatment based on old Ayurvedic techniques and involves work on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. A variety of massage movements are used to relieve accumulated tension, stimulate circulation and restore joint movement. Indian Head Massage helps reduce stress and fatigue, increases mental clarity, and relaxes and rejuvenates the receiver.

HOPI EARCANDLES (INCLUDES HEAD AND FACIAL MASSAGE)

An Indian relaxation ceremony that calms the mind and soothes the head and ears. As performed in Ancient times, the light suction action and the movement of the flame create a vibration of air in the Earcandle, generating a massage-like effect on the eardrum. This induces a pleasant feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ears, forehead and sinuses.
